Nepalese Mule Train "Don't step on huge piles of shit." "Keep a lookout also for the mighty mule trains; especially if it's likely that you'll meet them while climbing the jaggedy steps. Give way, step aside. While doing so, don't go downhill, step uphill away from the beasts. The tinkling of bells should give you enough warning to be prepared."
Note: Although their numbers are decreasing, much of the transportation in the mountains of Nepal is still carried out by mules. Working mules are mostly fed maize and wheat twice times a day. The feeds are packed in a small sack and tied on to the mule's neck covering their mouth, which allows them to eat while they rest.
